Scottish NSRA rifle meeting
The Scottish meeting is the largest annual shooting event in scotland with up to 300 people entering at all levels of ability. The competitions are divided into classes and there are prizes for classes X, A, B, C and Junior awards. Class definitions are based on averages and each entrant must supply their average to ensure they are placed in the correct class and shoot against people of a similar standard.
The first meeting was held in 1909 at Perth. Subsequent meetings have been held at various venues around Scotland, on a temporary range of about 120 firing points. The meeting normally runs from the last Saturday in June to the following Friday, but the exact week chosen may vary slightly according to local holidays. The meeting is run to NSRA Rules and caters only for prone shooting.
Full ISSF equipment control will be available, staffed by qualified ISSF judges.
Range location
The event is held at various locations around Scotland and has previously been held at Forres, Dumfries, Lauder and Caithness. For more details please visit the NSRA website or the Scottish Smallbore Rifle Association website
